Smile Makeover in Encinitas

Smile Makeover in Encinitas

A smile makeover isn't a single procedure — it's a coordinated plan that addresses the shape, color, alignment, and proportion of your teeth together, and then considers how all of that sits within your face. For our Encinitas patients, that distinction matters. Whitening alone won't fix worn edges. Veneers alone won't correct a bite that's crowding your front teeth. When we plan a smile makeover, we look at everything at once and sequence the treatments so each step supports the next.

We built our studio around one idea: cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics should be planned together, not in isolation. Too often a patient gets veneers at one office, neurotoxins at another, and fillers somewhere else, with no one stepping back to see how the pieces fit. Dr. Darian Anderson and Sarah Garces, NP-C, work under the same roof, which means an Encinitas patient can have their smile design and facial balancing considered as one coordinated plan rather than a series of disconnected appointments.

That philosophy is grounded in restraint and artistry. A smile makeover shouldn't announce itself. The goal is work that looks like it belongs to you — proportioned to your lips, your midline, and the way you actually speak and laugh. Our team includes Monica Kieu, D.O., FACS, as Medical Director, and our office spans general dentistry along with cosmetic, orthodontic, prosthodontic, periodontic, endodontic, and surgical disciplines, so complex cases can be planned thoroughly from the start.

Most people who come to us from Encinitas fall into a few familiar situations. Some have chipping, wear, or uneven edges from years of grinding. Some have teeth that have darkened and no longer respond well to whitening alone. Others have mild crowding or spacing, old bonding that has stained at the margins, or missing teeth that have changed how the rest of the bite functions. Any of these can be addressed within a makeover plan.

Good candidacy starts with healthy foundations. Active decay or gum disease is treated before cosmetic work begins, because veneers and restorations only look and last as they should when the tissue and bone beneath them are stable. If teeth are missing, options such as All-on-4 or All-on-6 dental implants with bone grafting when needed can be part of the plan. If alignment is the main obstacle, clear aligners may come first so that less tooth structure needs to be altered later.

How The Process Works

Everything begins with a complimentary consultation. We listen first — what bothers you, what you want to keep, what you've tried before. We examine your teeth, gums, and bite, and we talk honestly about what each option can and cannot accomplish. Encinitas patients are often surprised by how much can be achieved conservatively once the sequence is planned properly.

From there we use Digital Smile Design to map proportions and preview the direction of your result before any permanent work begins. This gives you something concrete to react to and adjust. Once the design is agreed upon, treatment is scheduled in phases: any necessary health work first, then alignment or implant steps if indicated, then whitening, then veneers or restorations, with facial aesthetics such as neurotoxins, dermal fillers, or microneedling layered in where they support the overall balance.

Aftercare And Keeping Your Results

Porcelain veneers and restorations respond well to the same habits that protect natural teeth: consistent brushing and flossing, regular cleanings and exams, and avoiding using your teeth as tools. If you clench or grind, a nightguard protects your investment while you sleep. We'll review specific guidance for the materials used in your case.

Take-home whitening is often part of long-term maintenance, particularly for natural teeth adjacent to restorations. We'll also schedule follow-up visits to check margins, bite, and tissue health. Facial aesthetic treatments follow their own maintenance rhythm, and having both handled in one studio keeps that scheduling simple for Encinitas patients.

Payment And Financing

We are an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice and do not bill insurance. This allows us to plan treatment around your goals and the time each step deserves rather than around coverage limitations. We welcome self-pay and cash patients.

For those who prefer to spread payments over time, we offer financing through Cherry. We'll walk through the full cost of your plan at your complimentary consultation so you can make a decision with complete information and no pressure.
