Serving Del Mar

You've been thinking about it for a while. Maybe a front tooth has always sat a little crooked, or years of coffee have dulled the brightness you remember. Maybe you tried whitening strips before a wedding and the result faded in a month. You find yourself scrolling photos, wondering whether the answer is veneers, aligners, whitening, or something else entirely — and whether anyone will actually look at your whole face before recommending it. That question is exactly why we built our studio, and it's the conversation we have most often with people from Del Mar.
Del Mar is a place where people spend a lot of time outdoors, in photos, and face to face with neighbors they've known for years. We hear it often: patients don't want to look like they've had work done. They want to look rested, balanced, and like themselves on a good day. That preference for restraint shaped how we practice long before we opened our doors.
Our studio came out of a simple frustration. Too many people were getting veneers at one office, neurotoxins at another, and fillers somewhere else, with no one stepping back to see how the pieces fit together. Sarah Garces, NP-C, our aesthetic nurse practitioner and facial balancing specialist, and Darian Anderson, DDS, our cosmetic dentist, decided to put both disciplines under one roof so a smile and the face around it could be planned in concert. Monica Kieu, D.O., FACS serves as our medical director. For Del Mar residents, that means one coordinated plan and one team that already knows your history.
Most people come to us with a cosmetic goal, but cosmetic work sits on a foundation of healthy teeth and gums. Our office covers general dentistry alongside a wide range of specialty areas, including pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral medicine, orofacial pain, and oral and maxillofacial pathology and radiology. That breadth matters when a whitening consult turns up a cracked filling, or when a teenager's aligner plan needs coordination with a growing bite.
On the aesthetic side, we offer smile makeovers and Digital Smile Design, a planning process that lets you see the direction of a case before treatment begins. We provide porcelain and composite veneers, in-office and take-home teeth whitening, and clear aligners for patients who want straighter teeth without brackets. For those missing multiple teeth, we offer All-on-4 and All-on-6 dental implants and bone grafting when the jaw needs additional support. Our medical aesthetics services — neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and microneedling — round out the picture for patients who want their skin and facial proportions considered alongside their smile.
Why Del Mar Families Choose Us
Families here tend to value continuity. Parents who come in for veneers often ask whether we can also see their children, and the answer is yes — pediatric dentistry is part of what our office covers. Having several generations in one practice keeps records, preferences, and treatment history in one place.
The other reason patients stay is pace. We don't rush through transactional appointments. Here's what you can expect from working with us:
- A complimentary consultation before any commitment, so you can ask questions without pressure
- A plan that considers your whole face, not just one tooth or one line
- Clear explanations of your options, including doing nothing for now
- Coordination between dental and aesthetic care, rather than separate offices working blind
- Time to think it over before you decide
Payment, Insurance, and Financing
We're an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice and do not take insurance. We know that's an important detail, so we'd rather say it plainly up front than have it come as a surprise. Practicing this way lets us build treatment plans around what will actually serve your goals and your long-term health, rather than around benefit schedules and pre-authorizations.
We welcome self-pay and cash patients, and we offer financing through Cherry for patients who prefer to spread payments over time. Larger cases — a full smile makeover, implant work, or combined dental and aesthetic planning — are often easier to move forward on with a payment structure in place. We'll walk through costs with you during your consultation so you can make a decision with complete information.
Getting Started
The first step is a conversation, and it's free. Bring your questions, bring photos of results you like or dislike, and tell us what's been bothering you. We'll examine your teeth and facial proportions, discuss realistic options, and explain what each approach involves in terms of time and visits.
If you decide to move forward, we'll map out sequencing so your dental and aesthetic care support each other. If you'd rather wait, that's a perfectly good outcome too. We're here when you're ready — and we're glad to serve Del Mar alongside our neighbors in Solana Beach, Encinitas, La Jolla, and greater San Diego.
